Krystyna Konarska-Łosiowa (1910-2002) was a Polish woman poet, member of editorial board of the Catholic monthly journal Więź (Link). Before WWII associated her worldview with Renaissance. First poems were published in Catholic magazines. Current debut collection of poems was published in 1935, next one in 1936, subsequent only in 1985. She was a member of the Polish Writers' Association. Her work focused primarly on the metaphysical poetry inspired by the Christian vision of the world. These poems are out of fashion and out of time, free from humane hypocrisy most often encountered in the Polish literary tradition. Although "In the Crystal Ball" is worth to take an exam to the taste of the time and current fashions of the critics.
