Present touring exhibition of Italian landscapes was set up in the Vytautas the Great Museum of Culture in February of 1938. According to Italian Ambassador Francesco Franzoni art exhibition is being prepared for two purposes: introducing Italian art to Lithuanian public and at the same time this event aims to continue cultural relationship between the two nations. Were displayed 150 artworks by 48 best modern Italian landscape painters. Participants represent three generations - who reached their peak at the turn of the century, who entered art scene during the pre-war decade and new generation of 1920-30s. On exhibition dominated city views, architecture, street motives, but natural landscapes were also shown. The older generation brightest representative was Italico Brass, also among older school masters were represented Casciaro Giuseppe, Scattola Ferruccio. Among younger masters who created vivid color landscape paintings could be mentioned Alberto Salietti, Guzzi Beppe, Bocchini Ettore, Paolo Rodocanachi, Fioravanti Seibezzi, Vittorio Nomellini, Emanuele Rambaldi, Carlo Terzolo, Alberto Caffassi.


Catalog for an exhibition includes list of displayed works with short characteristic of each participated artist, 12 full-paged artwork reproductions and enclosed price-list.
