Catalog of the Estonian art exhibition held at the Galleria di Roma in February of 1939 contains expanded introduction by Estonian painter and art critic Ants Murakin considering Estonian art scene and its main participants since the end of 19th century until 1930s, list of 212 artworks by 74 artists, and 30 full-page artwork reproductions. Catalog striking avant-garde cover designed by Estonian artist Hendrik Vitsur. In the exhibition participated most famous Estonian painters, graphic artists and sculptors of the interwar period: Eric Adamson, Peet Aren, Aino Bach, Aleksander Bergman, Paul Burman, Eerik Haamer, August Jansen, Andrus Johani, Ernst Kollom, Jaan Koort, Ants Laikmaa, Arkadi Laigo, Hugo Lepik, Kaarel Liimand, Paul Liivak, Natalie Mei, Hando Mugasto, Konrad Mägi, Roman Nyman, Eduard Ole, Kristjan Raud, Günter Reindorf, Anton Starkopf, Konstantin Süvalo, Nikolai Triik, Ferdinand Veber, Kuno Veeber, Eduard Wiiralt, etc. From the exhibition were bought 8 artworks. According to the speeches of Italian cultural figures and artists, the exhibition received much appreciation and admiration.
