Current the first publication about Expressionism on Estonian language introduces key ideas and ideals of postwar Expressionism (including a strong anti-war pathos) to Estonian public. Author considers Expressionism primarely as a worldview, that has to break dictatorship of the matter. So the Expressionism is defined by views and values, rather than by stylistic ideas. Accordung to author, as a result of the War and subsequent social cataclysms the Old World should be ruined, and from the chaos must arise the New fair and humane World. The great idea of Expressionism is the idea of humanity borne by love, justice, and God. Author defines three components of Expressionism:  ideological (fundamental world view), affective (sensibility) and stylistic (typical forms and methods). The publication covers principles and problems of Expressionism in the visual arts, literature and theatre. Provided many examples from the world experience.
