Very good condition; cover shows extensive foxing, creases across cover corners, vertical half book length creaser on the back cover, back cover edges and bottom right corner of the front cover are strenghtened with repair tissue paper, damaged bottom end of the spine; internally almost fine. 

 

The exhibition of paintings and drawings by Moscow architects was opened on May 1940 at the Moscow House of Architects. Organized by the Moscow Branch of the Union of Soviet Architects the exhibition featured 565 artworks in the fields of painting, graphic and sculpture created by 138 architects. Among participants were prominents Soviet architects: Viktor Vesnin (board member of the Union of Soviet Architects), his brother Alexander Vesnin, Grigory Barkhin, Nikolai Gaigarov, Nikolai Kolli, Aleksander Gabrichevski, Abram Damsky, Vladimir Krinsky, Mikhail Minkus and many others.

 

Accompanying catalog includes list of works specifying used technique and year of creation followed by six full-page artworks reproductions.
