This catalogue was published on the occasion of Ivan Rerberg's exhibition of graphic works held at the Central Museum of the TASSR in Kazan in 1927. Art historians P.M. Dulsky (in 1919-1930 the head of the Museum's art department) and P.E. Kornilov were engaged in the selection of museum's artworks in the 1920s, and also were involved intensively in exhibition and publishing activities. So, during the period 1922-1929 at the halls of the Central Museum of the TASSR had been held some 30 monographic exhibitions of graphic art of prominent Moscow and Leningrad artists, as well as the locals. All the exhibitions were accompanyed by excellent catalogues with exclusive common printing design and numerous illustrations - as reproductions, soprinted from the author's blocks. Now they are all bibliographic rarities and the subject of close attention of collectors. The initiators and the main authors of the catalogues’ texts were Dulsky and Kornilov themselves, but they also attracted famous art critics.

Current catalog contais introduction by Dulsky highlighting the main features of Rerberg’s creation and mentioning his most important works, which is followed by Gollerbakh’s article describing graphic work of an artist, overview of Rerberg’s book-plates with a full list of works created during 1916-1926 compiled by Kornilov (36 ex-librises, 252 graphic works and drawings), and bibliografical information. The brochure is decorated with numerous graphic vignettes and includes 21 illustrations in the text and on separate pages, also attached 3 plates with color illustratiions.
