Very good condition; half-leather possessory binding of the time shows some spine and edge-rubbing, bumped cover corners; internally almost fine. 

Book is printed on laid paper and richly illustrated with 14 half-page engravings depicting scenes of the Old Testament and fable episodes, 14 vignette images and numerous frames.

Very interesting and rare publication of pedagogical nature for children contains the Russian alphabet, syllables of two, three and four letters, different prayers, the Confession of Faith, the Ten Commandments, sacred history of the Old and New Testaments, short rules from natural history, rules of decency, moralizing fables and stories, short rules of Russian grammar and arithmetic.
