This biographical essay was firstly published in the magazine “Sibirskie ogni” (Siberian Lights) no. 1-3, 1924 and newly perfected by author for a current edition.The work was published the first year after Lenin's death and is devoted to describing a three-year periood (1897-1900) of his exile to Shushenskoe, a village in Siberia. Reflected Lenin’s life and work during these years. 

 

Abram Kirzhnits (1887-1940) – journalist, Lenin’s biographer, revolutionary, member of the Jewish Labour Bund, one of the leaders of the Society for Settling Toiling Jews on the Land OZET (among board members was Vladimir Mayakovsky).
