The art album by Ukrainian graphic artist and scenographer Leonid Vekshtein (1898-1970) includes an introduction and a set of 48 linear compostions. These avant-garde graphic works, according to artist, were created in the stylistics born by Revolution. The founding principles of the new art are synthesis of form, dynamics in the action, rhythm of lines. Reasonability of each line is achieved by the minimum means of artistic expression and cannot be changed without harming the entire composition. Drawings depict scenes from everyday life of Soviet society – workers, musicians, dancers, sportsmen, people having a rest, etc.
