Present exhibition organized by Young Women's Christian Association in Estonia (KNNÜ Kristlik Noorte Naisühingute Liit) educates a younger generation as well as adults about art of furniture and home decoration styles from the 16th till middle of the 19th century. On the output 119 objects related to the periods of Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo, Louis XVI reign, Classicism, Rococo Revival and English style of XVIII-XIX century. All the exhibits are from Tallinn, most of them taken from Estonian homes. Among presented items are Flemish and Aubusson tapestries, Holland and Dutch paintings, French engravings, various interior design items (vases, pictures, clocks, candles) and furniture of different epochs and countries. This was the first exhibition dedicated to history of interior design held in Tallinn. Exhibition catalog includes introduction by Estonian historian Ney Gottlieb overviewing birth of interior design, articles giving brief characteristics of each presented epoch with list of exhibited objects and 19 full-paged photographic images.
