Very good condition; slight water stain on the wraps along the spine, soft vertical book-length creaser in the centre throughout the book, some rust at upper staple; internally water stain to the upper part of the bound fold of the sheets throughout, also on the bottom outer corner of the pages, rust at upper staple throughout the sheets.


Current exhibition organized by the Culture Foundation at the Academy of Fine Arts in Riga from 21 Dec. 1935 to 19 Jan. 1936 was the second such a large-scale exhibition of Latvian art of national significance. This time were represented 476 artworks by 193 artists. These exhibits were choosen among 1200 proposed works by jury comprised the Minister of Education, members of the Culture Foundation and others. The press highlightened the growing interest  shown by the public, exhibition attended 17000 visitors. Painter and art critic Jekabs Bine noticed foreign influence, because artworks selection was not very “nationalist” demonstrating mainly modernist art trends. Paintings, scultrures and graphics were presented in alphabetical order by the artist name. On display were works of next notable Latvian artists: Augusts Annuss, Jekabs Bine, Janis Cielavs, Ansis Cirulis, Arvids Egle, Alberts Filka, Valdis Kalnroze, Ludolfs Liberts, Janis Liepins, Otto Pladers, Prof. Vilhelms Purvitis, brothers Otto and Uga Skulme, Leo Svemps, Niklavs Strunke, Aleksandrs Strals, Voldemars Tone, Kondrats Ubans, Zigismunds Vidbergs, Voldemars Vimba, Eduards Vitols and others.


Current exhibition catalog gives the name of the artist,  address, list of works exhibited with prices and type of art practiced.
